Why the dip from the 2 min to the 3 min mark with the do88?
DO88 BMW E9X M3 S65 ALUMINUM RADIATOR
In the graphs, ECT with the OE radiator follows a predictable pattern, gradually increasing. With the d088, ECT dips a slightly from the 2 min mark to the 3 min mark before starting to increase again. Can see this in both graphs. What's going on? Lower overall ECTs make sense but the do88's progression seems unnatural. Doesn't seem like something that should happen if test conditions were identical.

Hello, thank you for reaching out. I am not 100% certain of the testing procedures by DO88. Looking at the graphs it looks to me like the vehicle is getting up to operating temperature. After the 1-2 minute mark you are seeing the benefits of lower water temps from the larger core on the DO88 Radiator. As with most V8s the back cylinder temps will get the hottest. Any improvement in lower water temps is crucial for performance. We run a lot of DO88 performance products on high horsepower BMWs, some of these cars spend time on the track where heat can be a major problem. The DO88 products are built to increase cooling capacity and perform as advertised. Please let me know if you need anything else or have any other questions.
